Realme’s GT Neo 5 got official in February last year, with the GT Neo 5 SE following in April. So it’s high time for a refresh of the range, and it seems like Realme is working on the GT Neo 6 series.
According to the usually reliable Digital Chat Station over on Weibo, there will be two phones in the Neo 6 family, at least initially. One of them will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, the other opting for the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
The devices are expected to sport “1.5K” screens and 100W charging support for their “ultra-large” batteries. They will, allegedly, be fiercely competitive on price and offer a lot of oomph for the money.
The amount Realme will charge for the entry-level model in China is expected to be less than CNY 1,999 ($277 or €255 at the current exchange rates), but as always, if these go international then there will definitely be a substantial markup due to the taxes and logistics involved.
Qualcomm has been rumored to unveil the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 sometime later this month, so the Realme GT Neo 6 series announcement should follow after that, even though DCS says they won’t be the first devices to become official with the new chips.
